Written by Lauren Gunderson and Directed by Joye Cook-Levy.
The year is 1900, and the Harvard Observatory is no place for a woman...unless of course she's crunching numbers for a man. Not to be dissuaded, Henrietta Leavitt begins to record her own observations of Cepheid stars, and changes the way we see the night sky the universe, forever. Learn the true story of an overlooked astronomical pioneer, as told by Lauren Gunderson, playwright of 2023’s beloved Half-Life of Marie Curie, and witness the inspiring reminder of what we gain by keeping our sights set on the stars.
UCCS students are always free. Contact the box office in person or by phone with your student ID to reserve seats.
